Plantar wart surgery is considered too minor

Doctor usually wouldn't agree to put you to sleep for minor surgery like this. Putting someone to sleep is only acceptable under certain circumstances. For minor and small surgery such as plantar wart removal surgery, your doctor might refuse to put you to sleep because of these reason:

  • Putting you to sleep has it risk
  • In some cases, insurance company approval is needed
What can you do:

The only way to deal with this is to discuss it with your doctor and see if there's anything that he/she can do to help you relax. Nevertheless, keep in mind that this is just a small surgery and most peoples are doing just fine during the entire procedures. Putting you to sleep isn't even necessary at the first place.
