Removing the wart can be costly especially if you choose to get the wart removed by surgery. In today economy, it is obviously better to consider the cheapest options first before you decide to treat your wart the expensive ways.

There are several low cost wart removal options available. In the list below are 3 of them which claimed to work by several people.

#1 - Over the counter medicine called Duofilm
Duofilm is not as popular as other wart remover but it work. Other than that, the price is pretty affordable too.

The medicine is also very easy to use. Simply apply it on the wart after shower, preferably twice a day and you might see some result in about a week. The label said not to use Duofilm on face but some people did successfully remove wart on their nose using it.

However, it is better to follow the instruction on the bottle, no Duofilm on faces.

#2 - A lot cheaper – Lime paste
Lime paste is use traditionally by Malay people to removed wart. While this wart removal method is not very popular in the western world, removing wart using lime paste is a common thing in south east asia countries such as Malaysia and Indonesia.

The lime paste will be applied on the wart. After the entire wart is covered by the lime paste, let it be for a few hours. Then, scrap it. Do this twice or 3 times a day.

While there’s no guarantee that these low cost wart removal options will work for everyone, it is wise to at least give it a try before you decide to remove the wart by surgery.

This because both of the treatments mentioned above are already proven to work for some people.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4934237376375243726.post-55023141326012482002013-11-04T16:17:00.000-08:002013-11-04T16:17:24.430-08:00Treating verrucas with tea tree oil

Sometime, warts on feet or also known as verruca can be painful. It will go away by itself but it's going to take a pretty long time for that to happen. Alternatively, we can get rid of it by force. This can be done by either asking your doctor to do it for you, or by using a home remedy.

But in this post, we are going to show you how to get rid of verruca with duct tape.

Removing verruca with duct tape is a pretty simple process.

The first thing to do is covering the wart with duct tape, and leave it that way for 6 day straight. If the tape fell off, (maybe due to the tape being expose to a lot of water during shower) simply cover the wart back again with a new piece of duct tape.

6 days later, you'll need to remove the tape. Then, soak the verruca or wart for 5 minute in warm water. After that, remove any dead tissue at the top of the wart by softly rubbing the wart using pumice stone. Make sure you dry the wart before you do this.

On the next day, cover the wart with a new piece of duct tape again. Continue doing this for at least two month and see if it work.

The duct tape treatment might not give you the result you want. But a lot of peoples said it work so it probably worth a try.

Verruca laser removal treatment

Cryosurgery treatment

Over-the-counter medication
Over the counter treatment such as salicylic acid is widely available for sale. This method is done by yourself and it also have a pretty high success rate. A lot of peoples prefer to try this self-treatment first and only go to the doctor if this treatment didn't give them any result.

Home remedies for verruca
For peoples who hate chemical products and prefer to do things yourself, there are always home remedies. Check out these home remedies for plantar wart here.

Plantar warts are caused by virus. Because of that, a lot of peoples who had manage to get rid of their wart are worried about been reinfected again by the remaining warts virus that might have survive in their shoes or sock.

During treatment period, some peoples use bandage or duct tape to cover the wart and prevent the virus from spreading. Unfortunately, sometime when wearing shoes and socks, the band aid could come off due to your feet movement.

This situation is making peoples worried about the wart virus surviving in the shoes or sock after they manage to get the wart removed. So how do you disinfect your shoes?

This cleaner never claim to be able to kill the virus that cause plantar warts

You can try cleaning and disinfecting your shoes by using Lysol® Disinfectant Spray. However, Lysol® Disinfectant Spray manufacture never said their product can fight the HPV virus that cause plantar wart at the first place.

But since Lysol spray can be use to fight many type of virus and bacteria, it's probably your best bet if you want to try disinfecting your shoes. Nevertheless, buying a new shoes and sock might be a better option for you. Just to be sure.

When it come to plantar wart removal surgery, the pain that you going to face during the procedure probably is your number one concern. A lot of peoples are really good at handling a regular pain in their life but when it come to surgery, it just another different story.

To avoid this pain and as a solution to this problem. Some people are thinking about getting them self to be put to sleep during the surgery. The question remain could you actually demand the doctor to do that for you?

Plantar wart surgery is considered too minor

Doctor usually wouldn't agree to put you to sleep for minor surgery like this. Putting someone to sleep is only acceptable under certain circumstances. For minor and small surgery such as plantar wart removal surgery, your doctor might refuse to put you to sleep because of these reason:

The pain is usually bearable

Putting you to sleep has it risk

In some cases, insurance company approval is needed

What can you do:

The only way to deal with this is to discuss it with your doctor and see if there's anything that he/she can do to help you relax. Nevertheless, keep in mind that this is just a small surgery and most peoples are doing just fine during the entire procedures. Putting you to sleep isn't even necessary at the first place.
The problem with plantar wart is, they're really hard to remove. Believe it or not, there is certain people who find it extremely difficult to remove plantar wart. They have done everything from home treatment to surgery yet the dammed wart keep surviving or coming back! Could laser plantar wart removal be the answer?

Basically, there are 2 different kind of laser treatment for plantar wart. The one that use pulse dye lasers & the one that use carbon dioxide lasers.

What is the different between these two?
Pulse dye lasers – This treatment focus on starving the wart on your foot by attacking it blood vessel. Which will eventually kill it and the wart will fall off.
Carbon dioxide lasers – This laser on the other hand work pretty similar to surgery, where the plantar wart will be cut off your foot.

Good to know: Before the procedure, the effected area will be numbed to reduce/eliminate pain during the treatment.

Seem promising? Just because laser removal sound extremely high-tech, it doesn't necessary mean this treatment is needed in every plantar wart cases. Laser treatment usually used when you're in the kind of situation where other methods are unable to defeat the wart successfully.

laser plantar wart removal is often use when the wart is either too large or too widely spread. This treatment is sometime considered as the last choice.

Laser plantar wart removal cost
For pulse dye laser treatment, it might going to cost you about $360. But be aware that a few treatment is required to successfully remove the warts.

However, the cost involved in removing plantar wart through laser treatment may vary depending on the size, amount and the location of the wart.

Laser plantar wart removal recovery
Recovery time for laser plantar wart removal might take about 5 weeks. It all depend on the amount of warts and it location.

The treated area usually feel a little painful for a few days. But if the wound is bleeding for more than a week or becoming very painful, you might need to refer to your doctor.

Other than that, you might need to clean the wound to prevent infection.

Laser plantar wart surgery can be a little bit expensive. If you've not try other removal method yet, you probably should. For some people it make them feel a little pain during the process but that is only for a few second which shouldn’t be a problem for anyone to handle. Other than that you might feel a little pain for a few days after the wart removed but as been said before, the pain is not unbearable.

The doctor usually clip the wart off your foot after frozen it. The whole process is not too painful and some people who get their plantar wart remove using this method describe the feeling as uncomfortable instead of painful.

The doctor know what they're doing. Most of the time they'll recommend the best suitable treatment for you depending on your condition and the seriousness of the wart you have. You might going to feel a little pain if you remove the wart by frozen it off but as many people said the pain is bearable and only last for a while.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4934237376375243726.post-86099215770997976392012-06-13T09:24:00.000-07:002012-06-13T14:36:55.441-07:00Why do plantar warts return in the same spot? You manage to get the plantar wart removed but for some reasons, it came back, on the very same spot. Since you manage to remove the wart before, you are so confident that this time it is not going to be a problem for you to get the wart removed again. And you're correct, you manage to remove the wart for the second time.

Then, it started to get annoying. The plantar wart, that you manage to get rid of twice before, is back. And what make it worse, it came back on the very same spot as before. So what is happening? Why the wart keep coming back in the same spot even after you've successfully get it removed before?

To understand this, let take a look at the cause of plantar wart.

Plantar wart is cause by Human papillomavirus (HPV). Just like any other viruses, HPV is contagious.

Even after you successfully remove the warts, some of the HPV that cause the wart at the first place might had survive. The HPV that manage to survive has a potential to cause the wart to return. Since virus cannot be detected with our naked eyes, it is hard to tell whether there is still some HPV left after the wart is remove.

So what should I do? Did I need to remove the wart again and again and again?

Not necessarily, remember that wart usually form when our antibodies are week, keeping your antibodies strong could help to prevent plantar wart from occurring. So, one of the things that you can do is to build a strong antibodies to fight the virus.

It is very frustrating when plantar wart keep return. Some people go to the doctor to get the wart removed yet it still coming back. The wart might return due to some of the HPV that might have been left. Building a strong antibodies might help to solve this problem.
